Hi, there!
We are Stephanie and Jermaine (aka Jay) and we reside in the beautiful mountains of southern West Virginia. We met at our church in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where we were both living at the time, and were married in 2010. Stephanie grew up in West Virginia, but we, along with our littles, Cadence Marie (age 3) and Jameson Paul (age 1) moved to the area together in October of 2013. We have 16 years combined experience working in the mental health field; Jay currently works at a local psychiatric hospital and Stephanie has her masters degrees’ in Forensic Psychology & Counseling, although she’s had the privilege of being a full-time stay-at-home mama since 2011. In their spare time, Jay is a writer, musician and poet and Stephanie enjoys learning about interior design, photography and wellness.
We started this site specifically for a 31 day writing challenge after Stephanie read about it on the Nesting Place blog, to further gain clarity for how to better help others develop as Hope Artists.
So here we are. With no preparation or outlines of where the next 31 days will go, but equipped with a calling and desire to help others find and share hope. We want to create a place where you’ll feel safe because we believe hope is a powerful art which connects us all.
Hugs,
S & J
