Our words are clothes
Which give shape to our emotions.
To identify who we are
Some clothes are too tight.
We hold our breath, hoping no one will notice
Except the right ones usually do.
Some clothes, too loose.
And we hide hide hide.
In verbosity, if I tell you everything about me and control the conversation
You will never know me
If I push you away by saying the first thing that comes to my head
Ego wins, vulnerability escaped once again.
Hide hide hide.
Some fit just right.
Usually, we need help in achieving a proper fitting.
An awareness of self
Linguistics and design.
Communication like your grandparents clothes and marriage
Always in style.
Are our clothes
We shall wear them well.
[Oh oh oh our words and the power thereof. Our words have tremendous power. Change your words, change your life. For more, check out this fantastic article from the man himself, Michael Hyatt.]
